It may seem to be all i talk about, but it’s a fascinating subject. These 20 years of living have been quite interesting and complex as well. I’ve learned so much in my lifetime due to mistakes, rarely by example. And time and time again, when it comes to women, mistakes are always in my corner….
Saw this & I thought I was the only one who felt the same way..well about a dude cause I am a girl lol. Well anyways, all I can say is that if that person is SO PERFECT for you and is your helpmate like the Bible says then maybe just maybe it will all be worth the wait. Then looking back on this you will be like…damn & it was all worth it! (You prolly already knew this though)

So I have been reading the book of Nehemiah and Radical by David Platt and I began to realize a lot about my life & the big man upstairs (God). One being that we are SO selfish- myself included. When people ask us about the things we have or accomplishments we made we always something along these lines, “God blessed me with this” or “Yeah God allowed this to happen to me, I would be nowhere without Him.” Then the sentence ends there. If you really want to be real about the situation, if you really want to dig in deep here (and let’s) He is not blessing you for you!!! Come on people. Even in the book of Nehemiah, the reason why he rebuild those walls was so that GOD can get the glory. The reason why he made Nehemiah keep secret and go about it the way he did was so that people will unquestionably and undoubtedly know that it was God that allowed it to happen! So all in all what I am trying to say is that the REAL reason why God blesses you is so that you can use it to make disciples of ALL nations- meaning the entire world. Here is an exerpt from Radical and maybe you can ask yourself this question:
God is asking, ” What are you going to do with what I have given you? How are you going to use your influence, your leadership and your resources in the world around you?”
I have been struggling with this myself. In a society where everything is based on “I”, how can I change my dreams to give God the glory is the hardest question ever. However, if you pray He will definitely answer! Believe me, He changed my dreams in a matter of three days. Point to ponder.

For those that do not like Gospel rap..I feel ya on some of it BUT Lecrae is, to me, the Lupe Fiasco of Christian Music. So check him out! This is one of my favorite songs by him. I also seen him in concert & let me tell you, he is actually a better performer and more lyrically talented than most cats out here in the hip hop game.
Beautiful Feet- Lecrae

Over this break I learned a lot from the ones I love. I learned that you can’t carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, that sometimes you lose, you have to take care of yourself, the value of “no” and sometimes you gotta let go and let God. Although you may get a preview of what life will be like, sometimes the other person isn’t ready to explore that option. So you have to live life and perhaps that is God’s way of just giving you a taste of “what could be” but until he sees fit, you just have to wait. Like my mom ALWAYS preaches, “Good things come to those who wait.” Well, with my career and everything else…I guess time will tell.

1. When I call people (which I hardly do) and they don’t return my calls.
2. When I am hungry and people are around me.
3. When people are not considerate of my feelings
4.When people say I can’t do something.
5. When people are lazy and complain
