So I am not going to spend a lot of time on this, but we touched on this in Bible Study today and I thought I would share. Kendra hit the mark when she said, “When you let things go, you have to LET..IT…GO.” A lot of us can not comprehend this. I know this was a hard concept that I have been wrestling with for years. When you forgive someone that means you are giving up resentment towards someone. You are saying from this point onward you are relinquished from all ill feelings. Forgiveness is not saying you did it and then bringing it up and forgiveness is not “I forgave her, but I don’t fool with her like that no more.” God doesn’t forgive us and then bring it back up to shove it in our face. God forgives us wholeheartedly, because he loves us unconditionally…meaning without any condition..meaning he loves us..flaws and all (Beyonce). As a result of him loving us..he forgives us. So we need to do the same..I need to do the same…when we say we forgive someone we need to put in it in the sea of forgetfulness. No more grudges…animosity…no more drama(Mary J Blige). Believe me its hard, but ask God to help you. Lord knows I have just come to terms with forgiving my ex…and Mother Mary knows that was hard.

Matthew 18:32-35 ESV Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. (33) And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ (34) And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt. (35) So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”
I do not understand why some people do not get the concept : That sometimes you gotta do what you don’t want to do to get where you want. Now, I am not talking about doing something against your ethics or morals. I am simply talking about handwork. A lot of people want the end result and do not want to go through the process. In reality, the process is the MOST important part. The process is the part that makes you humble, wiser and appreciative. So what you have to intern for someone that is an asshole! So what that you have to walk to work! So what you hate what you are doing right now! So what that you have to pull all nighters! Its all to get to your dreams! If you want it that bad, you would work knowing that its all going to work out. Will Smith practiced for hours, days and years to get where he is at. He said one time in an interview that the reason why he is as good as he is now is because he took his art serious. While the other guys were out having fun he was practicing his craft. Diddy interned for free for years. Beyonce been doing the singing and dancing thing since she was 12. Oh and you thought that conquering your dreams would be easy. HA! If it was that easy then everyone would be out conquering their dreams. If you really want it and I mean really want it then hard work is not a stranger to you. Sometimes YOU gotta do what you DON’T want to do.
- It’s okay to be in college and not know what you will be doing for the rest of your life. This time is about figuring yourself out. Despite what society thinks, there are more people out there that still do not know what they will be doing. More than likely, you are going to end up doing something that is not pertaining to your major anyways. Life is filled with bumps and hurdles that shape you to become what God wants you to be. Its perfectly fine. Its okay. Enjoy your season and don’t get so wrapped up in tomorrow.
- Its okay to fail. Sometimes we have to fall in order for us to be humble or build character. Failing makes you stronger, wiser and better. However, I am not condoning that you fail and you do not attempt again. That’s stupidity. All I am saying is that if you don’t succeed in something after giving it your all it is not the end of the world.
- Its okay to cry. Now I am a goon and I don’t do too much of that tear falling stuff lol but I learned its okay to let it all out. Bottling it up inside is only going to result in something worse than crying. However, don’t cry to give up..cry to keep going.
- Its okay to take risks. What’s the fun of life if you don’t step outside the box? Take risks!!! Test your limits and have fun!!!You never know how awesome you could be at something if you don’t try it.
- Its okay to be you! This is where I get ratchet : DO YOU BOO BOO!!!!!! BUMP THEM HATERS!! People are always going to have something say. So what?
