²⁰ He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:14-20

I know that you have faith! But you have enough faith? Do you truly trust in the Lord or are you still leaning and depending on yourself? God will allow us to prosper and work for Him, but there comes a time when our faith will be tested! There comes a time when our work for Him cannot be accomplished unless we grow in our faith. We have to step out on faith and not just hope that we don’t fall, we must KNOW that we won’t fall! Have you ever played the trust game with a person where you fall back and have to trust someone to catch you? Well I know usually the bigger the person is, the more comfortable I am with falling backward. OUR GOD IS HUGE!! There is nothing else in the universe more equip to catch you. As a matter of fact, God sent his Son Jesus to catch us before we were ever even alive to start falling! Too many times we put all our trust in Earthly things and we forget about the greatness of God. God may not work things out in a way that makes sense to you, but He will work things out. Think about the story of Jesus at the wedding. Conventional wisdom would say that God would work this out by someone going to the store and buying more wine. But that isn’t what happened. Jesus turned water into wine. Now that may not sound spectacular to you because you have heard it so often, but that isn’t normal! That is an astounding miracle. But it was not conventional. What about the 5000 people that Jesus fed with five loaves of bread and two fish. There is nothing about that story that makes any sense. But Jesus made it happen. He can do anything, but if you only have faith in Jesus to do what makes sense to you then you are limiting His power in your life. The disciples asked why they couldn’t cast out the demon and Jesus told them that they did not have enough faith. Do you have enough faith? Do you believe that God can give you a B in a class that you are currently failing? I know you are thinking “that’s mathematical, God can’t fix that.” Thinking like that will get you an F every time. Shadrach Meshach and Abednego said that they KNEW their God would save them from the fiery furnace and even if He didn’t they knew he could! That is the type of faith we need. Your situation may look dire, but God has the power to work it out. Regardless of what man says about it, God has the final word! It may take some talking and persuading, but if God wants you to have an A and you are sincere in your prayers and have tried your best then anything can happen. But you have to have faith first. Don’t dumb down God’s power in your life!!
