Basically white fangirls out there are mad again about the possibility of a non white playing there precious Finnick Odair. They all wanted some cliche white actor who probably can’t act to play him. They were looking for the next Taylor Lautner in Finnick. They wanted there next white boy to drool over for the next year and a half. They wanted some dude from Tron, some dude from Glee, some dude from I am Number 4, honestly all them dudes look the same to me. Then the tide changed when they suggested a black dude play the character. They lost there minds, trying to justify the guy being white. Even though Suzanne Collins NEVER explicitly mentions race in the book, white people just automatically assume that EVERY character is white until proven otherwise. Same shit that happened with Rue, Thresh, and Cinna, is possibly happening for Finnick. But the thing is the black actor possibly playing Finnick fits the description perfectly. PERFECTLY. Some white people think Finnick’s hair is blonde, but in the book they say his hair is bronze. Bronze is like brown not blonde (oh white people). If they pick a black man to play Finnick white people are just gonna have to deal, because realistically in futuristic America white people will be a minority. And there still hella white people in the movie for them to like. I mean write your own book and movie of just a lily white world (wait you already do).
